Welcome Single Baby Boomers
Welcome to The Villages and to the active singles life here.

There are several singles groups in The Villages. Singles Baby Boomers is for those who are single and born between 1946 and 1964. We do check IDs.

So, assuming you were born between 1946 and 1964 and live in the Villages with a valid Villages ID card, welcome to our group.

Officially, you can only join at our monthly meeting (first Thursdays of the month, 7 pm, SeaBreeze Rec Center). Come around 6:30 the month you plan to join to fill out an application or better yet fill in an application on line and bring it with you. There is an initial $15 annual dues fee (non-prorated), which includes a name-tag that costs us $5. The renewal fees are $10 per calendar year (non-refundable, collected during November through February). You will also need to bring your Village ID and a government issued photo ID showing your date of birth.

We were founded in January, 2010 and had 85 at first official meeting in January and now have over 600 active members.

We have activities almost daily of one sort or another. The best way to start is to pick an activity you enjoy and get to know a few people in a smaller setting, such as playing in a golf group or joining our Tuesday Night Dinner group (advance reservations are required and sign-up information can be found in our weekly newsletter.)

Our Monthly Mixer is our largest activity and usually draws 100-150 off-season and well over 200 in-season. Our Mixer activities change each month and vary from a dance, to magic shows, cabaret shows, to a pot luck dinner or a trivia game.

Our regular activities include golf, pickleball, bowling, softball, hiking, biking, Tuesday Night Dinner, Out to Lunch Bunch; Dinner, Movie and More; Poker; Night Golf, and a variety of other activities and special events. We sell buttons with our logo for $1 and if you wear one it is easier in a crowded bar or on the dance floor to find other members. All of our activities are sent out by mass e-mails and listed in our weekly newsletter. In most cases sign up/reservations are required.

Most important, this is a member run group. Everyone helping to run SBB is a volunteer. We encourage each member to suggest and coordinate any activity they would like that we do not currently offer. In the past, one person organized a cruise (which can be done again), we had a book club for one year, and others have expressed interest in tennis or various card games that have come and gone.

If we can be of further help, please let us know.
